Ken Smith’s Hunting Idaho is now owned and operated by Matt Hoffman who purchased the business in the fall of 2010. Matt will keep the name, Ken Smith’s Hunting Idaho, along with Wild Times Adventures as his business names. Link to Wild Times Adventures The hunting area is located 45 miles southeast of the little town of Challis, Idaho in the East Fork of the Salmon River drainage. The outfitting business is permitted to operate on the Salmon-Challis National Forest in the Yankee Fork Ranger District. The area is known for big bulls and the controlled rifle bull elk tags are some of the most sought after in the state. Because this is a controlled hunt unit for rifle elk hunting, the local pressure is minimal to say the least, and archery hunting is superb.
